Instructions for Bath & Body Wash

INDIVIDUAL BOTTLE METHOD:
To make body wash in individual bottles, pump body wash directly into bottle or pour body wash directly into bottle using funnel. Add a small amount of fragrance and dye (start with a drop of each).  Top bottle with flip top lid and shake.  Test by applying a small amount of body wash onto your skin to make sure it does not discolor your skin and to see if you need to add more fragrance.

GALLON JUG METHOD:
Step 1: Clean and sanitize work area and equipment with a bleach solution (e.g. 1 tsp bleach to a 1 gallon of water) or with rubbing alcohol.

Step 2: Get all ingredients together so you do not have to leave in the middle of making your Body Wash.

    Items Needed:

Note: This method avoids human contact with the body wash and keeps it covered most of the time thus avoiding any airborne particles (dust) getting into the body wash.

  Step 3:

Add a Skin Safe Fragrance to Body Wash Base not to exceed 1 ounce of scent to 1 gallon of Body Wash Base. It's best to take mixture outside to smell to make sure the desired fragrance is achieved. Test, by applying a small amount onto your skin to see if you need to add more fragrance.

NOTE:

1 oz of Tri-State Candlemaking Supplies Skin Safe Fragrance Oil

will scent

1 gallon of Tri-State Candlemaking Supplies Body Wash Base

Step 4: Add Dye for Bath & Body Products a drop at a time.  Seal jug and mix ingredients together.   Add more dye (if needed) to reach the desired color.

Note:  When dye is added, test to make sure it does not discolor your skin.  If it does, too much dye has been added.

Note:  For fragrance use a SKIN SAFE FRAGRANCE OIL

  Step 5:

When ingredients are mixed, either pump body wash directly into bottle or pour body wash directly into bottle using funnel.  Top bottles with flip top lid.

Note: If you see the oil separate from the wash, you are using too
much fragrance and need to reduce the amount.

Note:  Tri-State Candlemaking Supplies shall not be held responsible for products created by you from our supplies.  You alone are responsible for product.
