Bath & Body Lotion |
| |
|
|
|
Step 1
Clean and sanitize work
area and equipment with a bleach solution (e.g. 1 tsp bleach to a 1
gallon of water) or with rubbing alcohol.
|
|
|
Step 2
Get all ingredients
together so you do not have to leave in the middle of making your
lotions..
|
| |
|
|
|
Items Needed:
|
 |
| |
Note: This method avoids human contact with
the lotion and keeps it covered most of the time thus avoiding any
airborne particles (dust) getting into the lotion.
|
| |
Step 3
Fill plastic bag
with
Body Lotion Base directly from the
jug. Be sure to weigh lotion to accurately calculate how much fragrance oil/scent to add.
|
| |
Step 4
Add
Bath & Body Dye a drop at a time. Seal bag leaving
as little air as possible. Massage the bag to mix in the dye.
Add more dye (if needed) to reach the desired color.
Note: When dye is added, test to make
sure it does not discolor skin. If it does, too much dye has been
added.

Step 4
Note: For fragrance use a skin
safe scent.
Start
with a drop at a time not to exceed .3% to .5%. If
possible take mixture outside to smell to make sure the desired
fragrance is achieved.
Step 5
Seal the bag securely and massage scent through the
lotion - dye mixture until all ingredients are thoroughly
mixed.
|
 |
| |
|
Step 6
When ingredients are mixed, and
bottles are lined up, snip a small hole in the corner of
the bag.
|
 |
| |
|
Step 7
Squeeze the lotion into the
bottle. While filling periodically tap the bottle to
disperse any air bubbles.
