Techniques

  

Melt & Pour Glycerin Soap
 

Embedding

Step 1

  • Melt 1 lb of Clear Melt & Pour Soap base
  • Add  scent and dye.
  • Pour ¼" of soap in mold.
  • Let set until completely cool.
  • Place objects on top of the hardened soap as desired.

Step 2

  • Re-melt the remaining soap
  • Add another ¼" of soap to the first layer.
  • Let set up until completely cooled.
  • This step "anchors" your objects into the soap.

Step 3

  • Re-melt remaining soap and fill the rest of your molds.
  • Let set until completely cooled before removing from molds.

*If you just pour your soap and then place the objects in, they will likely float or sink in your bars rather than stay suspended in the middle of the bar.
